Diversity for Peace

NATO is a Euro-Atlantic organization, thriving on the diversity of member nations, striving for progress through the maintenance of peace and stability in the Europe-Atlantic area and beyond. Created after WWII, the foundation of NATO is the liberal values and its goal is to ensure peace through collaboration. NATO is, therefore, like this mythical crowd of people, located in the same space with ‘Poznan Army’ museum and military cemetery with ‘Heroes’ Monuments’ in Park Cytadela in memoriam of the WWII disaster. Being continuously reminded of the atrocities and despair of the war, these individuals come together. Despite pulling towards different directions due to the diverse context they live in, which combines present, past (history), and cultural milieu, they recognize common threats and challenges, assess the resources at hand, and thus jointly create better future. It is not only the political and economic interdependence that unites them, but common values and respect towards one another. The movement, the search of these individuals continues through never-ending efforts to ensure peace and progress.
