Lianne de Vries recently completed her MA in Strategy and International Security in the United Kingdom and holds a Bachelor’s in International Business Management. She is particularly interested in military strategy, grand strategic trends, multidisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches to issues, the transatlantic Alliance, the role of intelligence, and nuclear strategy. Looking at the future security environment, she is avid supporter of innovation and adaption: to meet the future security environment successfully, our mindset and processes must reflect its flexible and fast-paced nature. Lianne is keen to see the Alliance position itself as such.
Lianne is a board member for the Dutch Atlantic Youth Association and participates in a youth think tank from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She enjoys travelling – having also lived in the United States, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom – kickboxing, reading, and writing.
