2016 NATO Summit

From July 8-9, 2016, heads of state and government, top diplomats, military commanders, and other international leaders will convene at the NATO Summit in Warsaw, Poland to make decisions that will affect the global geopolitical and economic landscape. Since 2002, the Council has organized seven future leader events alongside official NATO Summit. Numerous heads of state and senior Alliance officials have spoken to fellows from the Council’s rising leaders’ initiatives, including President Obama, Vice President Biden, Secretary General Rasmussen, President Erdoğan, and Prime Minister Rõivas, among many others. This year, the Atlantic Council and its partners are organizing a Future Leaders Summit that will convene exceptional young leaders thirty-five years old and younger from around the world alongside the official NATO Summit in Warsaw.
